India’s leading analytical centers held roundtable discussions on Uzbekistan – India relations
On the eve of the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, well-known scientists, analysts and experts of the two countries held roundtable discussions on the current state and prospects for multifaceted cooperation.
On the eve of the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, well-known scientists, analysts and experts of the two countries held roundtable discussions on the current state and prospects for multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and India at the leading research institutes of India – the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses and the Vivekananda International Foundation.
Views were exchanged on such issues as consistent reforms implemented by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in various spheres in Uzbekistan, huge potential for foreign investment in the country, further expansion of trade between the two countries, as well as international agenda, including ensuring peace and stability in Central Asia.
Experts emphasized the need for further expanding cooperation in the real sector of the economy, education, pharmaceuticals, tourism and trade. It was noted that in this sense there are great prospects in information technologies and innovation, in which India has made great strides.
Discussions at the leading think tanks of India created an opportunity for representatives of the expert communities of the two countries to deeply understand the new era of Uzbekistan – India cooperation in various development sectors.
