The third meeting of the Group of Women Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Women parliamentarians from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus took part in it.

The participants discussed work to increase women’s participation in the economy in Turkic countries.

Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Gulnora Marufova, who took part in the conference, noted that large-scale reforms aimed at providing comprehensive support to women are being implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Following the meeting, the decision and recommendations of the Group of Women Parliamentarians of TURKPA were adopted. It was also determined that the group’s next meeting will be held in Kazakhstan in 2025.
