A norm on ensuring decent wages is fixed in the updated Constitution to improve the living standards of the population.

There is no such provision in the current version of the Basic Law.

Thus, an amendment is being introduced to Article 42 of the draft Constitutional law “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which reads: “The minimum wage is determined taking into account the need to ensure a decent standard of living for a person”.
