On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and Motherland Defenders Day, a cultural enlightenment event has been held at children’s home No 14 in the town of Chirchiq. During this event, a number of military servicemen gave holiday gifts to children there.

The event was attended by military servicemen of the Chirchiq garrison, veterans of the Armed Forces, representatives of the Chirchiq town hokimiyat (mayor’s office), teachers and children of that institution.

It was emphasized during the event that Uzbekistan’s modern national army was formed under the leadership of the country’s First President to reliably defend the Motherland and to ensure the inviolability of its borders and its people’s peace.

Motherland defenders answered many questions of children about army life. They also spoke proudly about conditions created and privileges provided for them.

“Such cultural enlightenment events are held regularly at our institution. Our children actively participate in every such event. Artistic performances and various quizzes are arranged. Today’s event gave festive cheer to our boys and girls who are very much interested in the honourable job of Motherland defenders,” says the director of children’s home No 14, Farida Kenjayeva.

The event’s participants found a concert programme by children to be very impressive.
