The Uzbekistan 2030 Draft Strategy, widely discussed across the country, outlines goals and objectives for the transport and logistics sector.
The tasks aimed at deepening the country’s integration into global transport and logistics networks and increasing the potential of the national transport system are defined by specific indicators for each year. In particular, it is planned to increase passenger and freight traffic to 250 trillion UZS by 2030.
At the same time, in 2026, the share of electrified tracks will be 53.7 percent, in 2027 – 55 percent, in 2028 – 57.3 percent, in 2029 – 60 percent, and by 2030 – 65 percent.
It is also planned to increase the total number of flights to 200,000 by 2030, of which 41,000 will be domestic flights. At the same time, it is planned to dramatically increase the number of regional flights not connected with Tashkent. In five years, the number of such flights will grow more than 2.5 times, from 624 in 2026 to 1,560 in 2030.
It should be noted that the rapid development of the transport-logistics network will strengthen Uzbekistan’s economy and ensure the sustainable development of the sector. It will also serve to provide convenient transport and air links for the population and guests of Uzbekistan.
