The Indian multidisciplinary hospital Aakash Healthcare fruitfully cooperated with Uzbekistan in 2023.
Through the efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi, in November 2022, Aakash Healthcare commissioned a modern medical facility with 50 beds in Uchtepa district of Tashkent. $4 million was invested to implement this project.
– The past year has been very fruitful for our cooperation with Uzbekistan, – says Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director of the Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital. – We organized several visits of delegations of our leading specialists to Uzbekistan, conducted examinations and helped more than 2,000 patients receive qualified treatment. Also, about 100 complex surgical operations were performed in various areas, including orthopedics, joint replacement, gastroenterology, and oncology.
The current level of bilateral relations between India and Uzbekistan creates a favorable opportunity for healthcare structures. Over the past year, much attention has been paid to the exchange and retraining of medical workers. So, in 2023, 20 doctors from different regions of Uzbekistan visited our central hospital in Delhi and were trained in surgery, oncological surgery, and radiology.
All this suggests that relations between our countries in healthcare are developing. We are implementing many joint programs. Therefore, we have every reason to say that 2023 was a fruitful year for our mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan.
