IMRS’s concept for the development of Margilan city
Experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies have developed a concept for developing Margilan city.
According to the IMRS, when developing this concept, special attention was paid to the city’s development trends, particularly improving the service sector, tourism, housing construction, and environmental problems.
As a result of the analysis, the city’s competitive advantages were identified. Proposals and recommendations have been developed to determine priority areas of development.
The developed concept includes improving roadside services, promoting the Margilan brand – “Shirmoy Non” flatbreads, creating a digital platform for handicrafts, and developing a VR project for a souvenir factory and other areas.
