Improving women’s legal culture
The Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and partner organizations hosted an international forum on “Improving legal culture of women – an important factor in development of the country”.
The Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and partner organizations hosted an international forum on “Improving legal culture of women – an important factor in development of the country”.
The forum, organized by the Main Department of Crime Prevention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, UNDP Office in Uzbekistan, the Ministry for Supporting Mahalla and Family, Uzbekistan Youth Union and a number of other public organizations, was attended by responsible employees of labor collectives operating in mahalla committees for working with women.
New mechanisms for effective protection of women, participation of internal affairs agencies in protecting women’s rights and interests, increasing the socio-political activity of women and cooperation between state and public organizations in solving family problems were discussed in detail.
