Improving the Constitution is a requirement of the time

Bukhara Regional Council of UzLiDeP hosted a roundtable discussion on improving the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Pedagogical Institute of Bukhara State University.

The event was attended by party activists, deputies, officials of the Council, a group of professors and teachers of the Institute, students and media representatives.

The event was chaired by the Chairman of the Regional Council of the party, deputy of the Regional Council of People’s Deputies Farmon Aminov.

Aktam Khaitov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the UzLiDeP Political Council, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for the Improvement of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, drew the attention of the participants to the joint session of the Senate and the Legislative Chamber that was held on 20 May, development of proposals for introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the establishment of a national Constitutional Commission for the implementation of organizational measures.

The students were explained the importance of constitutional reforms, the main tasks of the constitutional commission. It was noted that the views and suggestions of students are also important in this process.

Komiljon Qudratov, head of LLC Ideal Lift in the regional center, deputy of Bukhara City Council of People’s Deputies, proposed to establish the inviolability of private property in the Constitution and strengthen the guarantee of inviolability of private property. 

The Director of the Institute M.Daminov proposed to pay the authors of the invention a part of the money paid to the owners of intellectual property for the invention. Lobar Olimova, a student of preschool education at the Institute, said that it would be expedient to establish a magazine “Uzbekistan Entrepreneurs” in the country. Ziyoda Hamdamova, another student of the Institute’s preschool education department, said that there is a need to establish a higher education institution specializing in the scientific study of services, which is now the main branch of entrepreneurship. The proposal made by Makhsuma Samadova, a student of the Faculty of History of the Institute, was also warmly welcomed by the roundtable discussion participants. In particular, this proposal reflects the fact that the introduction of classes in higher education, which promote the life and work of entrepreneurs in New Uzbekistan, serve to increase the interest of young people in entrepreneurship, has become a requirement of the times.

Aktam Khaitov noted that most of the suggestions made by young people and their teachers are reasonable and fully justified. He said that the proposals made by the party’s electorate, the younger generation and representatives of various spheres during the relevant events will be taken into account in the comprehensive development of the draft Constitution and its public discussion.
