The OECD hosted a webinar on international arbitration and contract enforcement within the framework of a project Improving the Legal Environment for Business in Central Asia.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministries of Justice of Central Asian countries, representatives of the OECD Secretariat, specialists from foreign and international organizations.

Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Karimov presented information on the ongoing reforms in the country in resolving economic conflicts arising among local companies, improving the business environment. The main attention was paid to the reforms being carried out in the country aimed at ensuring the protection of private property, the openness of the activities of state bodies, justice, and the elimination of corruption risks.

The results of the research conducted by the World Bank experts on the use of digital technologies in improving the judging system in the economic sphere for business entities were presented.

The participants of the event noted that these activities will contribute to the improvement of the investment environment in the region.
