In November, imports of electric cars to Uzbekistan declined sharply.

According to the Customs Committee, 4,597 electric vehicles worth $68.2 million were imported into the country. The average price of each electric vehicle amounted to $14.8 thousand. A year earlier, the average cost of an electric vehicle stood at $6.1 thousand.

Since July, electric vehicle imports have grown significantly. While 4,560 electric vehicles were imported in June, the figure rose to 7,204 in July, 8,071 in August, and 11,534 and 6,933 in September and October, respectively.

In total, by December, Uzbekistan had imported 51,856 electric vehicles valued at $612.2 million. This represents a significant increase compared to the same period last year, when 24,091 electric cars were imported, valued at $224.7 million.
