Important cooperation areas are identified at the international conference
19:00 / 2024-02-28

At the International Conference “Uzbekistan and China: Advancing mutually beneficial cooperation for the peoples of both countries”, experts from the two countries are paying attention to factors essential for developing relations.

Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies E. Aripov:

– In any situation, signing a strategic partnership agreement is an entirely logical decision, considering the reliable and stable relations that have developed between our countries and the accumulated legal and regulatory framework.

China has lifted more than 989 million people out of poverty and made significant progress in socio-economic development. Uzbekistan needs to study and implement China’s policies and experiences to improve the population’s well-being.

We are interested in cooperation in the production of electric vehicles. In recent years, sales of electric cars in our country have increased 10-fold. Of particular importance is the agreement on opening a plant for the production of electric vehicles in Jizzakh region.

In general, the results of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to China indicate the formation of a unique, new form of interstate cooperation.

Director of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Sun Zhuangzhi:

– In a problematic international situation, relations between China and Uzbekistan are constantly enhancing and becoming a new, unique example of interstate relations. This process requires mutual solid efforts to support major diplomatic initiatives, strengthen security cooperation, maintain stability in Central Asia, and promote the peaceful reconstruction of Afghanistan.

Implementing joint projects to develop cooperation in transport communications between the two countries will strengthen Uzbekistan’s strategic position. Still, it will make it possible to maximize its geopolitical advantage and significantly contribute to the region’s broader development and integration.
