Tashkent hosted an international workshop on the implementation of World Skills standards in the vocational education system of Uzbekistan.
The workshop was attended by foreign experts from South Korea, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. They shared their experience of implementing World Skills standards in their countries.
According to the Director of the Institute for Labor Market Research under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Muhammedov, World Skills International is an international non-profit association whose goal is to improve the status and standards of professional training and qualifications across the world.
“Within the framework of the workshop, the final reports of members of our working group, which includes 40 people, were presented”, says the Executive Director of “Muloqot” NGO D. Ibrokhimov. – They represent interested ministries and agencies, associations, professional colleges, as well as potential employers.
Following the event, local and foreign experts exchanged views and ideas on the development of vocational education.
