The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting of the heads of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad with the leadership of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the development of passenger and cargo transportation, logistics, air, rail and road communication, and export supplies. Views were also exchanged on the issues and proposals awaiting resolution.

The need for preparing and presenting specific information to the foreign audience about the changes in Uzbekistan’s transport sector, industry’s development concept, opportunities created for investors and foreign airlines, as well as short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies for air, rail and road transport was noted at the meeting.

Proposals were also made to establish new flights from foreign countries, organize charter flights, implement projects for joint production and supply of export products abroad.

It was agreed that the Ministry of Transport will provide materials on the concept of development of the transport sector and plans for 2021, specific proposals for foreign investors and foreign airlines.
