On August 28, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tashkent held a roundtable discussion on the achievements of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the state independence and their historical significance, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IICA, experts, academic and public circles.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan A. Rahmonzoda noted that significant progress has been achieved in a relatively short period of time, Uzbekistan has become a dynamically developing country.
As it was noted, much attention was paid to strengthening friendly relations, primarily with neighboring states, including the Republic of Tajikistan.
Regarding the development of cooperation, the Head of IICA stressed that strengthening the centuries-old friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership with Tajikistan is one of the important priorities of Uzbekistan's foreign policy.
Representatives of expert, academic and public circles also addressed the event, who highly appreciated the current level of interaction between the two countries, as well as the policy implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring national consent.
Participants got acquainted with a specially organized photo exhibition “The Republic of Uzbekistan during the Independence”.
