IICA hosts a meeting with the UN Special Representative
The International Institute for Central Asia hosted a meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.
The parties exchanged views on the development of processes in Central Asia, as well as prospects and forms of interaction between UNRCCA and IICA.
The UNRCCA Head noted the importance of the policy pursued by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev aimed at strengthening cooperation in Central Asia.
At the meeting, the role of annual meetings of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian states and expert dialogues between leading think tanks of the countries of the region, which contribute to the practical filling of the agenda of upcoming high-level events, was also emphasized.
The participants agreed to continue regular meetings to strengthen the expert dialogue between IICA and UNRCCA and conduct joint events.
