IICA hosts a meeting with the Israeli delegation

A meeting was held at the International Institute for Central Asia with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, who visited Uzbekistan to attend the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Israel.

Members of the delegation consisting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Uzbekistan Zehavit Ben Hillel, Director of Central Asia and Caucasus Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Michal Hershkovitz, and others, were informed about the history of the creation of the IICA, goals, objectives and current activities, as well as events held by the Institute.

The guests noted that Uzbekistan – Israel friendly ties have a deep history, highly appreciated the level of fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

They stressed that thanks to the large-scale reforms and transformations in Uzbekistan under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as his open and constructive foreign policy, a qualitatively new atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding and trust has developed in the region.

In this regard, the interest of representatives of the Israeli scientific community and business in further expanding multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan and other countries of the region was confirmed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue to identify specific issues of bilateral and regional cooperation of mutual interest.
