IICA hosts a meeting with the Executive Vice-President of the Korea Foundation
The International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) hosted a virtual meeting with Rhee Jong-kook, the Executive Vice-President of the Korea Foundation and Executive Director of the Korea – Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat.
The parties discussed organizational issues of the first Forum of Analytical Centers “CA + South Korea”, which will be held in July this year in Tashkent.
This event aimed to define the agenda of the next CA + Korea Summit and develop practical proposals and new initiatives.
Following the meeting, Rhee Jong-kook noted that IICA and the Secretariat have common goals and objectives consistent with both parties’ interests and expressed confidence in the forum’s success.
The Cooperation Forum “CA + Korea” Secretariat is an international structure under the Korea Foundation, which was created in 2017 to strengthen interaction between the parties by supporting the systematic implementation of projects. It is based in Seoul.
