The International Institute for Central Asia hosted a meeting with the delegation of the German Berghof Foundation, led by the Head of the Afghanistan/Central and Southeast Asia Unit, Basir Feda.

The German delegation got familiar with the activities of IICA, reforms in Uzbekistan, the achievements of the Central Asian states in the light of intensified regional collaboration, and the dynamics of cooperation between countries within the “CA+” format.

Following the meeting, the Berghof Foundation’s readiness to establish cooperation with IICA in areas of mutual interest was confirmed.

The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization that supports efforts to prevent political and social violence and achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation. Originally established by Professor Dr. Georg Zundel in 1971, the organization’s development is currently run by members of the Zundel family in their roles as shareholders and trustees. Based in Berlin, Germany, the Foundation also maintains a branch office in Tübingen, Germany, and project offices in several regions, including Africa, the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), Latin America, and the Caucasus.
