ICT Week Uzbekistan kicks off in Samarkand

This event, traditionally organized since 2004, has kicked off in Samarkand. It is aimed at analyzing innovations and changes taking place in the IT sphere in the world and Uzbekistan, exchanging experience with leading global companies, and demonstrating achievements in the sphere.

The results of the year in information technology and communications development were summed up, and the upcoming strategic tasks were discussed at the event. It is attended by government authorities in communications and information technology, heads of enterprises and organizations, international experts and analysts, and representatives of international IT companies.

At the opening ceremony of the summit, it was noted that in 2019, 5 major events were held within the framework of the week of information and communication technologies, while this year's program includes 22 events of different levels.

Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis for Innovative Development, Information Policy and Information Technologies Ilkhom Abdullayev, Regional Director at the Regional Office for the CIS of the International Telecommunication Union Natalia Mochu, Director General of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in Communications Nuriddin Mukhitdinov shared their views on the importance and significance of the week and events.
