Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzakov met with Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation Hua Liu, in Vienna, Austria.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Austria Abat Fayzullayev.

The parties discussed the results of cooperation in the implementation of the project of the Department of Technical Cooperation for the improvement of radiotherapy services in Namangan Regional Oncology Center worth about 700 thousand euros.

Regarding the continuation of cooperation, Mr. Hua Liu noted that the department is ready to consider projects aimed at developing medical centers in Namangan region. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of the IAEA training programs, under which the agency is ready to provide Uzbekistan specialists with a wide range of opportunities to improve their skills.
