Humoyun Sultonov successfully performs at ATP Challenger 2023
Humoyun Sultonov is successfully performing in the ATP Challenger Tour in Kazakhstan’s Astana.
The prize fund of the tournament is $40 thousand. In the second round, Uzbekistan’s athlete beat the fourth racket of the tournament, Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Popko.
The first set was decided in favor of Popko, scoring 6-7(4) on a tie-break. In the second set, Humoyun beat his experienced opponent with a score of 6:0. After the third game of the decisive third set, Dmitry could not continue the dispute. Thus, Uzbekistan’s athlete reached the 1/4 finals.
At the next stage of the tournament, he will compete in the semifinals with Russian Evgeny Filippov, who ranked 649th in the ATP rankings, Uzbekistan Tennis Federation reports.
