Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan – Russia business forum on “Current problems of developing human rights culture: the experience of Uzbekistan and Russia”. It was organized by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Human Rights Centre and the Council at the Russian Federation President for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.

Russian delegation led by Advisor to the President of Russia, Chairman of the Council at the Russian Federation President for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov attended the forum.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council at the Russian Federation President for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights. This document is aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation in protection of human rights and interests, assistance in the fulfillment of state obligations under international conventions and agreements, the exchange of necessary information and literature related to the sphere, mutual coordination of forms and methods of activities in this direction. The memorandum provides for holding research conferences, workshops and trainings.
