15:55 / 2023-08-26

Huawei, CA Distribution, and Marvel Uzbekistan held Partner Summit 2023 together.

At the event, senior executives from Huawei’s corporate division gave an overview of the latest products and technologies, broader industry trends, and business opportunities for local partners.

In his opening speech, the CEO of Huawei in Uzbekistan, Chen Jiakai, spoke about the company’s achievements in building a favorable ecosystem and business development plans in the country.

“Introduction of innovations in the digital infrastructure, constant investments in research and development, as well as in support of the educational sphere, allow us to work closely with clients and partners in Uzbekistan to integrate ICT technologies with various industries deeply. Our goal is to accelerate digitalization, stimulate the digital economy, and create new value for all areas of life”, Chen Jiakai said.

One of the main topics of the summit was the impact of digital transformation on increasing the focus of public services on people. Mr. Hong-Eng Koh, Chief Scientist of Global Public Sector at Huawei, presented successful examples of the implementation of digital strategies in foreign countries and noted the achievements of Uzbekistan in building a digital state in recent years, taking into account the increase in positions in the UN E-Government Development Index.

Huawei continues to invest in the development, cultivation, motivation, and support programs of partners to create a favorable ecosystem.

The company is also putting a lot of emphasis on developing local digital talent through its Seeds for the Future initiative. So, the annual educational project Seeds for the Future 2023 starts in September this year and is attended by 15 students from 7 universities in Uzbekistan. The project will be held in Doha (Qatar) with the support of the Huawei Regional Office for the Middle East and Central Asia.
