A seminar titled “Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO): Conducting export activities based on the organization’s rules” was held at the Ministry of Justice.
The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by industry experts and entrepreneurs engaged in export activities.

In the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to implement the tasks defined at the fourth open dialogue of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with entrepreneurs” of August 30, 2024, a task was set to assist enterprises in the regions with export volumes exceeding $1 million in adapting to WTO requirements in 2024-2025.

To ensure the implementation of this directive, the Ministry of Justice and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided information on WTO rules and provisions related to export, as well as updates on changes to national legislation governing export activities. Explanations were provided regarding the ongoing work to simplify customs legislation and trade procedures, the reforms carried out in the area of technical regulation, and sanitary and epidemiological issues related to exports, as well as the importance of intellectual property rights in export activities.
During the seminar, entrepreneurs expressed their opinions and proposals and received detailed answers to their questions.
