In January-May 2024, 15.8 thousand citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan left for foreign countries to study, the Statistics Agency reports.

Their number decreased by 1.3 thousand people or 7.4% compared to the corresponding period last year.

The number of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who left for foreign countries in January-May this year to study by country:

Tajikistan – 7,888 people;

Russia – 2,272 people;

Kyrgyz Republic – 1,756 people;

South Korea – 900 people;

Türkiye – 858 people;

Kazakhstan – 608 people;

United Kingdom – 342 people;

China – 302 people;

Germany – 154 people;

USA – 141 people;

Other countries – 575 people.
