17:21 / 2026-01-08

At a ceremonial event held on the occasion of the Day of Employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov read out a congratulatory message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed to employees and veterans of the prosecutor’s offices.

The message particularly emphasizes that, as a result of reforms implemented in recent years, the prosecutor’s offices have become closer to the people and have evolved into a system for protecting human honor and dignity, rights and freedoms, and the legitimate interests of citizens. Last year, the rights of 512,000 citizens were restored, and about 54,000 appeals were resolved in favor of the applicants, including nearly 29,000 from entrepreneurs.

As a result of systematic preventive efforts to combat crime in mahallas, the number of high-risk territories decreased by nearly 1.5x. Within the framework of combating economic crimes, thousands of offenses were prevented, and significant damage caused to the interests of the state and society was compensated.

The President’s congratulatory message emphasized that current priorities include digitalization, countering cybercrime, adopting modern technologies in investigative processes, and strengthening openness and transparency. It was noted that employees of the prosecutor’s offices should serve as symbols of the rule of law and justice and live up to the public’s trust.

By a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a group of employees of the prosecutor’s offices was awarded orders and medals. At the event, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Nodira Hakimova presented these high honors.
