In 2024, Tashkent will host the Asian and Oceania U18 Championships. This was announced at a meeting of representatives of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation.

“Holding this championship in our country has a historical significance. At the moment, we have reached an agreement. Official documents on the dates of the championship and its technical aspects will be signed shortly. It is important that the first step has been taken towards adopting the Asian and Oceania Championship”, says Elbek Makhmudov, Executive Director of Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation.
