A new film directed by Jakhongir Akhmedov tells the story of Zulfiya Zakirova from the village of Khanabad in Zangiata district of Tashkent region.
The five sons of Zulfiya Zakirova: Isoqjon, Ahmadjon, Muhammadjon, Vahobjon and Yusufjon Kholmatovs did not return from the war. One after another, sad letters came about her sons.
When one of the villagers received the bad news, they comforted each other, saying: “One of your children died, but Zulfiya has lost her five sons, so be patient too”.
After the war, the wives of her sons were offered to marry, but the brides refused. The daughters-in-law remained faithful to their husbands for years.
Part of the Ilhaq feature film will be shot in collaboration with Belarusfilm.
