A health train has departed from the Tashkent central railway station for Qashqadaryo and Surkhondaryo Regions. This action has been arranged by the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (for a healthy generation) international charity foundation in cooperation with the Ozbekiston Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan railways) joint-stock company.

The provision of qualified medical services for everyone and the raising of the quality of the provision of modern medical treatment for people living in distant territories are the health care system’s important areas where reforms are being implemented.

In a decree dated 7 February 2017 of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On an action strategy for the further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and in the Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests state programme, large-scale tasks are specified for this sphere.

The Soghlom Avlod Uchun international charity foundation is also taking an active part in this process. The foundation is improving its projects for the medical and social protection of families in need of social support, and through dispatching this health train, it is providing modern medical prophylactic and diagnostic services for people.

Within the framework of such measures carried out in Navoiy, Surkhondaryo and Qashqadaryo Regions and the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston in the year 2016, more than 5,500 people had medical examinations. Humanitarian aid was provided for medical-social establishments and families in need of social support.

Health days are to be conducted in Surkhondaryo and Qashqadaryo Regions until 29 March. Medical workers from the capital city will be providing medical services for people there. Extensive medical examinations are to be arranged for women and girls living in distant villages. Propagation and explanatory work are to be conducted on the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the prevention of diseases and the raising of families’ medical culture.
