On February 10, 2021, the Head of the Representative Office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Cemalettin Tüney, and the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

The head of the Uzbek Office of TIKA emphasized the importance of the faculty of Turkic studies in Uzbekistan opened at the university last year. 

In 2005, TSUOS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency. Since that time, this organization has been supporting the development of Turkic studies in every possible way, and training in this area has been conducted at the university for more than 30 years.

At the meeting, Cemalettin Tüney donated about 1000 copies of modern scientific and educational literature on Turkic studies to the library fund of the faculty.
