The head of the Tatmedia Agency in Tatarstan, Aidar Salimgaraev, confirmed that the Kazan Forum is the most important platform for cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world and that Tatarstan is a gateway to dialogue between different civilizations and for partnership and collaboration.

This came during his participation in the media forum “Main trends in the transformation of the information field in the modern world and the OIC countries,” which is organized in Kazan, Tatarstan, by the Union of OIC News Agencies, in cooperation with the Tatmedia Agency in Tatarstan, and in partnership with the “Russia-Islamic World” Strategic Vision Group and the Permanent Mission of Russia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Mr. Salimgaraev stressed that Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, has become a venue for major international events. This year, it will host the summit of the BRICS countries and the BRICS Games.

He highlighted the role of the Media Forum in creating a platform for developing joint initiatives and practical action plans in media cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
