The Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, Ambassador Urszula Gacek, met with the Chairman of the 3rd Bukhara District Election Commission Mirzokhid Daminov.

Mission’s Legal Analyst Anna Melikyan and long-term observers Alexander Bedritsky and Shumit Chanda were interested in the basics of the electoral legislation of Uzbekistan, in particular, the organization of district and precinct election commissions for holding elections, the procedure for their work, and the process of early elections.

The parties discussed the goals and objectives of the mission and the opportunities provided to observers in the election process. The Chairman of the District Election Commission answered in detail the questions of international observers.
