Oqqum Desert is located in Namangan region’s Mingbulak district.

The nature and fauna of the region are unique. It has several animals listed in the Red Book.

It is noteworthy that the desert sands are also known for their usefulness as a cure for a thousand ailments. It is quite possible to completely get rid of some diseases by burying yourself for two hours in the sand at a certain time of the day.
