On December 23 this year, a resolution of the President “On measures for the further development of gymnastics” was adopted.

The resolution defines the main directions for the development of gymnastics.

According to the document, starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, the “First Step to Gymnastics” program will be introduced in preschool education organizations, and the “Gymnastics for Children” program for primary schoolchildren will be introduced in secondary schools.

In the cities of Nukus, Samarkand and Fergana, regional gymnastics training centers with modern material, technical and educational facilities will be organized.

Gymnastics centers – specialized, state sports and educational institutions with the status of a legal entity – begin their activities in the 2024/2025 academic year.

The total number of students in the gymnastics centers is 132. Graduates of the 11th grade of the gymnastics centers, who have mastered the curriculum and passed the final state certification, will be issued a state diploma.

A diploma of graduation from the gymnastics centers gives the right to work in the specialty or continue education at the next stages.
