Uzbekistan National News Agency has significant experience in providing official and breaking news, attracting the attention of residents and foreigners as a reliable source of information.

Currently, the information disseminated by the Agency is translated into 9 languages and posted on the website uza.uz. It is also provided to the media in Uzbek and Russian. After the Agency was given national status, the activities of the Translation Department received further development. It consists of professional translators working in nine languages.

Guzal Makhmudova should be mentioned among the translators. She has earned respect and recognition in the team for her extensive experience and unique style. Guzal Makhmudova created a particular school of translating articles about Uzbekistan’s relations with other countries into Russian.

She pays special attention to mentoring and training young translators. Her advice is essential for every young translator working with her.

I think any resident of our country follows the news transmitted to them with great interest, – emphasizes Guzal Makhmudova. – Guests of Uzbekistan, diplomatic missions operating in the country, and representatives of foreign companies, as well as those in the near and far abroad, are interested in our news and articles. To provide information to such a wide range of people, we try to convey information in both native and foreign languages. Since I work in the Translation Department, I can say that the news agency has formed an excellent team of translators who can quickly and competently prepare articles on a wide range of issues.

After almost 28 years of working at the Agency, I can safely say that our team of translators is a well-formed school, where students of the faculties of journalism and translation theory often turn for advice, as well as for acquiring practical skills to consolidate theoretical knowledge. We are always ready to provide them with all possible assistance, because they are our replacement, tomorrow they will have to provide our compatriots and the whole world with news about New Uzbekistan.
