Wrestling competitions are continuing at the Olympic Games.

In the freestyle wrestling competitions, Uzbekistan’s Gulomjon Abdullayev competed with Aliabbas Rzazade, a wrestler from Azerbaijan, at the 1/8 finals stage. Gulomjon won a landslide victory in the weight category of up to 57 kilograms in these competitions.

Thus, G. Abdullayev is on his way to the quarterfinals, where he will compete with the competition winner, Roman Bravo-Young from Mexico and Arsen Harutyunyan from Armenia, in the semifinals.

In the competitions between athletes in the weight category up to 86 kilograms, Javrail Shapiev from Uzbekistan and Vladimeri Gamkrelidze from Georgia competed in the quarterfinals. Javrail achieved success in this battle. 

Now, J. Shapiev will face Magomed Ramazanov from Bulgaria in the quarterfinals.
