“We held extensive, in-depth discussions on building trust in the world, promoting the development of the media”, the document says. “It should be noted that today, the world is going through a period of unprecedented change. Uncertainty and unforeseen factors are growing, creating global problems for humanity. Therefore, the international community must strengthen solidarity and join forces in the face of such challenges. The media needs to build a communication bridge to answer the questions posed by the world, time, and history”.
The statement also notes that the global media believes that eliminating inequalities in development can be done by focusing on pressing issues such as poverty reduction, food security, development financing, and industrialization in developing countries.
In the information age, in the context of the accelerated development of new technologies, the world media must actively introduce innovations, adhere to journalistic ethics, meet professional standards, and wisely use modern technologies. To maintain the reputation and credibility of the media, it is necessary to disseminate factual, objective news to a broad audience and vigorously combat misinformation, rumors, and bias.
