The construction of a gas-to-liquids (GTL) in Uzbekistan, which is the largest complex for the production of synthetic liquid fuels in the region, is being completed. The level of implementation of planned works is 95.3 percent.
The main technological installations will be commissioned after the launching of auxiliary equipment. This is planned for the second half of the year.
The GTL complex consists of four sections – power supply facilities, a syngas production plant (according to Haldor Topsoe technology) and synthetic liquid fuel production plants (Sasol) and product purification plants (Chevron).
The gas pipeline from Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex to the GTL complex is completed and fully commissioned. A raw water treatment plant, demineralized water production systems, fire-fighting water supply, gas supply, steam production and cooling, as well as main and auxiliary substations and a system of control and measuring devices and automation, were put into operation. Commissioning works, as well as testing of pipelines and equipment, continue.
Almost nine thousand people and more than 500 units of equipment are involved in the construction site.
The central control panel of the plant has been put into operation, and the main laboratory of the plant is undergoing national and international accreditation.
