Quva district is known as a center for growing seedlings not only in Fergana region, but also in Uzbekistan. In this district, 18 mahallas specialize in the cultivation of roses, 26 – fruit and ornamental trees, one – citrus crop, and strawberries.
Qoraqum village residents are famous for their achievements in growing seedlings of trees and flowers. They are showing positive results through the application of scientific achievements and accumulated experience.

The Head of the Asad Vodiy Gullari horticultural cooperative, Alisher Tojiboyev, is engaged in growing seasonal roses from cuttings. It is not only profitable, but also a promising area. In addition, he supported hundreds of families in mastering this business. As a result, they began exporting more than 400 types of flowers to the CIS and European countries.

In recent years, the mahalla has adapted popular flowers imported from the Netherlands, Japan, and South Korea to the local climatic conditions. The annual income of local residents who grow rare varieties of roses and other seasonal and perennial flowers is about one hundred million UZS.
