Good results of territorial programmes

In Farghona Region, eastern Uzbekistan, 266 projects have been implemented and more than two thousand new jobs have been created so far this year under a programme of socio-economic development.Under the leadership of the country’s President, special attention is being paid to strengthening macro-economic stability through the modernization of the economy’s leading sectors and the further expansion of changes there, which is producing great results.
Large-scale work is in progress in Qoshtepa District this year on further improving the provision of transport, electric energy, natural gas and drinking water and on raising the quality of services for the population.
Under the 2016 investment programme, major repair and reconstruction work are being carried out on general education schools and pre-school day care establishments, vocational colleges, cultural and recreational facilities and the district’s medical association.
In line with a programme of enhancing industrial potential, there are plans to implement 45 projects in the district and to further increase the export potential of small businesses and private enterprises.
As a result of this kind of work being carried out, the district’s industry, services sector and small enterprise and private entrepreneurship sectors are developing rapidly. In the industry section, 28 promising projects have been implemented so far this year, and its industrial output has increased.
Many graduates of vocational colleges are being provided with jobs.
Privileges and preferences being given to entrepreneurship in the country encourage people in the district to embark on new projects. Now there are more than 1000 small business entities working in the district.
There is also demand on external markets for products of the Ismoiljon Gilamlari private enterprise. Carpets produced in accordance with national craftsmanship traditions and with the use of modern equipment are being exported to many foreign countries. Its branches have been opened in the villages of Solijonobod and Dehqonobod, and dozens of new jobs have been created.
Promising projects being implemented by enterprises working in villages are especially important in terms of increasing the range of competitive goods, and most importantly in raising living standards.
The Sardor RRC LLC is also one of such enterprises. Bathroom equipment being produced there is as good as that produced abroad.
“Our products have long been required on the domestic market,” says the head of the firm, Muhammadjon Qochqoorov.
