The Palace of International Forums “O’zbekiston” hosted a solemn event and a concert timed to the 30th anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture – TURKSOY.

Representatives of the culture and art of the Turkic countries, ministries and organizations for tourism, international structures, the diplomatic corps, figures of literature, art, and culture, and media workers were invited to the event.

The congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of Culture Days held in Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of TURKSOY was read out by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khayriddin Sultanov.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev noted that the Organization formed 30 years ago, has great authority and prestige in the world.

The 30th anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture is solemnly celebrated in the member countries of TURKSOY. The festive wave, which originated in the city of Almaty, intensified in Bishkek and reached the city of Tashkent.

The State Museum of Applied Arts and the History of Handicrafts of Uzbekistan opened the exhibition “Artists of the Turkic World”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY. A gastronomic exhibition of the national cuisines of the peoples of the Turkic world was organized. Dialogues and meetings were held between the heads of prestigious international organizations of Turkic-speaking states and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan on enhancing collaboration in culture, publishing, printing, media, and tourism.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev noted that the organization’s activities had developed recently. Notably, the initiatives and ideas of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on bringing friendly relations between Turkic-speaking states to a qualitatively new stage and his active support of this organization are of particular importance in this. The present time is the time that our ancestors and Jadids dreamed about. TURKSOY has become a golden bridge connecting the Turkic peoples.

The solemn event ended with a concert program with the participation of art groups from Turkic-speaking countries, masters of art, and creative youth.
