From September 9 to 11 this year, Tashkent will host Global Textile Days, which plays a significant practical role in this process.
Gullola Nodirkhanova, Project Director of CAITME at the Iteca Exhibitions, spoke with UzA correspondent about the importance of the upcoming event, the preparation process, and its participants:
– At today’s press conference, organized by our company, we provided detailed information about the exhibitions, which are of great importance for the country’s economy. The goal was to convey to the public that these events create significant opportunities for domestic entrepreneurs to conduct their activities and achieve outstanding results.
As colleagues have noted, Global Textile Days, which will be held in Tashkent at the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre”, will bring together three significant events: the CAITME exhibition, Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2025, and a business program. More than 250 companies and brands from 22 countries will take part in the combined exhibition.
Recently, under the leadership of the country’s President, an important meeting was held to address the challenges facing the textile industry and explore potential solutions. It was noted that the textile industry is currently experiencing a challenging period. To support the sector, the Head of State announced the “100 Impact Days”.
The events we are holding are also in line with these instructions. We aim to support the national textile, garment, and knitwear industry by seeking new technologies, solutions, and opportunities, as well as by promoting Uzbek textile products in the international market.
The CAITME exhibition (Textile Equipment and Technologies) is a national project. It is the only event of its kind in Central Asia and the second largest in Eurasia in this field. Specialists from our region and neighboring countries take part in it. As per tradition, the event will be attended by textile associations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as industry representatives from Russia, who will hold negotiations and explore the latest achievements in textile engineering.
The exhibition has been held since 2004 and has already secured a strong position among international industry events. This year, it will once again provide an opportunity to explore the latest developments, achievements, and advanced solutions of leading companies from Europe and Asia. The general sponsor is the Association of Exporters of Machinery Products of Türkiye, under the brand Turkish Machinery.
The participation of this organization is particularly significant, given the vital role of Türkiye’s textile industry in both global and local markets. In addition, more than 40 Turkish companies will showcase their exhibits at the fair. China will lead in the number of participants with 57 companies, followed by India with 20, Italy with 14, and Germany with 10. Many companies will be participating for the first time, including technology firms, software developers, and companies offering solutions in automation and ERP systems. Overall, 82 percent of this year’s exhibitors are foreign companies.
Modern trends suggest that global businesses are compelled to adapt to new requirements to ensure sustainability and competitiveness. This is due to rising energy prices, increasing wages, environmental challenges, and growing demands for product sustainability.
Based on this, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of solutions in the fields of energy supply, automation and digitalization, ERP systems, as well as technologies that help reduce labor costs.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that Global Textile Days serves as a significant platform for elevating Uzbekistan’s textile industry’s profile on the international stage, generating new opportunities for domestic producers, and introducing modern technologies. This event not only contributes to the industry’s development but also represents an essential step in implementing the President’s initiatives and the “100 Impact Days” program of support.
