The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov has held virtual talks with the Technical Key Account Manager for Central Asia, Latvia and Russia at the GLOBAL G.A.P., Edite Strazdina.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, views were exchanged on the prospects for enhancing practical interaction, aimed at enhancing the implementation of internationally recognized standards in Uzbekistan and promoting the increase in exports of domestic agricultural products to world markets.

Edite Strazdina highly appreciated the personal attention of the President of Uzbekistan to the issues of introducing international standards in the country, strengthening the regulatory framework for creating an integral certification system that would facilitate the entry of domestic products to foreign markets. She confirmed the readiness of the GLOBAL G.A.P. leadership to continue interaction with Uzbekistan at such a high level in the coming years.

During the talks, an agreement was reached on organizing a working visit to Uzbekistan of Edite Strazd in June and GLOBAL G.A.P. CEO Kristian Moeller to Uzbekistan in September.

It was emphasized that the first visit to Uzbekistan of the GLOBAL G.A.P. CEO will open up wide opportunities for accelerating the process of introducing international standards and increasing the volume of Uzbek exports of high-quality agricultural products to large European consumer markets.
