The prestigious Global Chess League Tournament has kicked off in the UAE on June 22.

The world's leading chess players of 6 teams will compete for the main prize. Nodirbek Abdusattorov will perform as part of the Balan Alaskan Knights team, and Javokhir Sindorov in the UpGrad Mumba Masters team.

In the first round, Javokhir Sindorov will compete with Triveni Continental Kings as part of his team. He will play against Jonas Buhl Bjerre. The team in which N. Abdusattorov performs will play with SG Alpine Warriors on June 23. Uzbekistan’s player will fight with Indian grandmaster Gukesh.

In the 2nd round, the teams of two players from Uzbekistan will play against each other. Alexander Grischuk from Russia will fight with N. Abdusattorov and J. Sindorov – with Raunak Sadhwani from India.

The tournament will run until July 2.
