15:30 / 2022-11-23

Addressing the conference dedicated to the results of the Samarkand Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, OTS Deputy Secretary General Gismat Gozalov noted that the conference in Samarkand, the capital of Turkic civilization, became a historic turning point in the activities of this structure.

According to him, the event marked the beginning of a process of deeper integration of the Turkic countries, and also gave an important impetus to Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the OTS.

As G. Gozalov noted, during this important political event, a Joint Declaration was adopted and several multilateral documents were signed regarding the economy, transport and institutionalization. The member states are striving to deepen trade ties, using the entire economic and transit potential of the region.

“Due to the historical brotherhood, the closeness of languages and cultures, unique geographical location, the OTS space is turning into a new geopolitical reality that promises to bring significant political and economic benefits, contributing to peace, security and stability on the Eurasian continent and throughout the world”, G. Gozalov said.
