Germany’s experience in normative activities

Tashkent hosted an international workshop on “The main activities of the Administration and Research Service of the German Bundestag and the German Bundesrat”, by the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis and the representative office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Uzbekistan.


Tashkent hosted an international workshop on “The main activities of the Administration and Research Service of the German Bundestag and the German Bundesrat”, by the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis and the representative office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Uzbekistan.

At the seminar with participation of senators and deputies, experts of the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies, international experts, representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and journalists, the experience of Germany in normative-legal sphere was considered.

The international workshop was organized to develop proposals and recommendations for studying the experience of Germany and using its achievements in implementation of the Concept of improving normative activities in the country. The Bundestag has a unique legislative school based on smart regulation and has a solid experience in development and effective implementation of laws of direct action. The Bundestag has also accumulated extensive experience in legal engineering of developing draft laws.

At the workshop, participants were provided with information on the German normative practice, the role of the Bundestag scientific service in lawmaking and parliamentary control, the methods of preparing information and analytical materials for the parliament, the main tasks of the parliament administration. Views were exchanged on foreign experience of using modern and innovative methods in the process of developing draft laws and other current issues.
