As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, the event was attended by over 400 Germany’s political, economic, cultural and public figures, as well as media representatives.

Deputy Mayor of Frankfurt am Main Sylvia Weber congratulated the participants on Navruz holiday and emphasized the rich culture, history, customs, traditions, as well as the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. It was noted that such events play an important role in strengthening tolerance, friendship between German and Uzbekistan people, as well as give additional impetus to the development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in tourism.

The performance of “Tasanno” music group from Uzbekistan made a warm impression on the German public about the art and culture of Uzbekistan. Products of Uzbek folk artisans were also demonstrated at the event.

Participants tasted traditional national dishes of Navruz such as sumalak, kuk samsa, pilaf, halim and others. They were also acquainted with traditions of Uzbek people associated with the spring holiday.
