The Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mainz, Germany, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, and the Ministry of Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate organized a dialogue between the ambassadors of Central Asia and the Caspian region. This has been reported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in this country.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation at the event, which was attended by representatives of ministries, agencies, and business circles of the federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse.

As local experts noted, new prospects are opening up for Central Asia and the South Caucasus economies this year. In 2023, these regions saw significant economic development.

As Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov noted, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany is strengthening. In recent years, mutual trade turnover and the volume of German investments in Uzbekistan have increased sharply. Over the past six years, the number of enterprises with German capital in Uzbekistan has tripled. Today, there are more than 200 of them.

Experts noted that the raw material potential, the scale of the market, and the sequence of reforms are transforming Uzbekistan and Central Asia in general into attractive destinations for German companies, which creates the basis for revealing new facets of cooperation.
