Germany deepens multilateral relations with Uzbekistan

Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of “Germany – Central Asia” parliamentary group in the German Bundestag Manfred Grund.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that Germany is ready to deepen multilateral relations with Central Asia, including the rapidly developing Uzbekistan.

Interest was expressed in expanding trade volumes, attracting new investments, and creating modern production enterprises.

Several plans were considered in this direction, taking into account the importance of interparliamentary dialogue. In particular, the importance of legal support for bilateral relations, establishing direct connections between parliamentary committees, and their further development was noted. The parties agreed to share their experience in implementing electronic parliament.

Members of the delegation highly appreciated the work in Uzbekistan to develop women’s entrepreneurship and confirmed Germany’s readiness to participate actively in this process.

Views on labor relations issues were exchanged, ensuring gender equality, ecology, and environmental protection and deepening partnerships in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on developing relevant documents on cooperation to identify new areas of interaction between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Germany.
